Effective date: August 10, 2026
Welcome to ApplianceEdge (applianceedge.co, the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site — though we'd rather you stayed.
1. What ApplianceEdge is
ApplianceEdge is a free, independent informational resource about appliance ownership: research records, tools, estimates, and editorial guidance. It is built from publicly available information — manufacturer documentation, government records, service literature, industry pricing data — combined with our own judgment.
2. Information, not professional advice
Everything on the Site is provided for general informational purposes only.
Our estimates, lifespans, repair-cost figures, verdicts, and recommendations are editorial opinions — our reading of the available evidence, offered as opinion and clearly labeled as such. They are not professional, technical, or financial advice; they are not a diagnosis of your specific appliance; and they are not a quote.
Your appliance is a specific machine with a specific history we cannot see. Nothing on the Site substitutes for inspection and diagnosis by a qualified technician. Repair-or-replace decisions, purchase decisions, and repair-price decisions are yours to make, and we encourage you to verify anything material before acting on it.
3. Accuracy and the limits of our data
We hold published claims to a sourcing standard we take seriously, and we correct errors when we find them or you show them to us. But appliance data changes — models, warranties, recalls, programs, and prices move constantly — and despite our efforts, the Site may contain information that is incomplete, outdated, or wrong. We make no warranty that any content is accurate, complete, or current.
Where we reference third-party programs — manufacturer promotions, rebates, warranty terms, flat-rate repair programs — the manufacturer's own published terms control, not our summary of them. Always confirm on the manufacturer's site before relying on an offer.
4. No warranties
The Site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ApplianceEdge and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — or for any loss of money, property, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content, even if advised of the possibility. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, total liability is limited to one hundred dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us to use the Site (which is zero), whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations; in those jurisdictions, these terms apply to the fullest extent permitted.
6. Your use of the Site
You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to: scrape, harvest, or bulk-download Site content or data; use the Site's content to build a competing dataset or service; misrepresent Site content as your own; interfere with the Site's operation; or use automated tools to access the Site beyond ordinary search-engine indexing.
7. Our content and intellectual property
The Site's content — including the Edge Files, our research records, estimates, text, structure, and design — is owned by ApplianceEdge and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial reference, and you may quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link. Any other reproduction or use requires our permission.
Appliance brand names, model numbers, and trademarks referenced on the Site belong to their respective owners. References are for identification; no affiliation or endorsement is implied — the Site is independent of every manufacturer and retailer it covers.
8. Submissions
If you send us corrections, documentation, or ownership experiences, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them in operating and improving the Site (including incorporating verified information into our records). We handle submissions as described on our About page: retained, reviewed, and never republished as immediate claims. Don't submit anything you don't have the right to share.
9. Third-party links
The Site links to third-party sites — manufacturer pages, government databases, and similar. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or practices.
10. Changes
We may update the Site and these terms as the Site evolves. The effective date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
